Sexual Health

Your sexual health is no laughing matter and it is something you should not be afraid to talk about or be embarrassed. Being sexually active means you are at risk of catching a sexually transmitted infection (STI) or a sexually transmitted disease (STD), many of these are treatable. You could be infected without any signs. Other conditions may cause symptoms similar to a STI. Some things you spot may be perfectly normal. Examinations may sound scary, but getting screened for STIs is easy and can prevent health complications for you and your sexual partners.

Do something for your own peace of mind and together we can prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections. Pop along to your local Genitourinary Medicine (GUM) Clinic for a free and confidential check up, if you are worried going on your own or its your first time then take your best friend, the nurses are really friendly and will talk you through everything. The clinics tests and treatment are free, you will also be able to ask for sexual advice and pickup some free condoms and lubricant.
